The cable TV industry’s prestigious Cable Expo conducted between 27th and 29th August in the Hitex exhibition center, has seen a tremendous success. The 3-day CableNet Expovision -2021 ended today on a positive note. Sri M. Subhash Reddy, President, Telangana MSOs Federation, has thanked the print, electronic and digital media for contributing to the success of the exhibition. He also thanked the cable operators and the technicians from both the Telugu states as well as from other states for making it convenient to attend this expo. Mr. Reddy has specially congratulated Sri Ramu, Chief of CNC Group, for hosting this 9th CableNet Expovision.
Since the announcement of the show after a one-year hiatus due to COVID, Shri Subhash Reddy has been at the forefront in popularizing the show and appealing to cable operators to attend. Shri Subhash Reddy, Shri Jitendra and others along with Shri Ramu participated in the media conference organized at Hyderabad Press Club. As early as 11 a.m. on the 27th, when the expo started, all the stalls were ready and cable and broadband operators from many states started coming. When the minister Shri Srinivas Gowd arrived in the evening for the formal launch of the expo at the Hitex premises in the evening, he was warmly welcomed by all the dignitaries of the cable sector including Sri Ramu, Head of CNC Group, who is the organizer of the exhibition. The Minister, who cut the ribbon and formally inaugurated the Expo, went round the stalls. Brightway MD Sri Subhash Reddy has invited the Minister to their company’s stall and explained the about the usage of latest technology and the latest offers.
Shri Subhash Reddy, who presided over the function, has invited Minister Shri Srinivas Gowd, the chief guest of the function to the dias. And, the minister was extended a warm welcome by Sri Ramu, with a bouquet of flowers. . Mr. Prabhakara Reddy, Honorary Presidents of Telangana MSOs Federation, Mr. Manoj Dubey, Vice President, GTPL, Mr. Jitendra, President, Cable Operators Welfare Association, Mr. Kolla Kishore Kumar, MSO, Mr. Koti and Mr. Pammi Suresh, leaders of the cable sector mentioned the issues being faced by the cable industry. They said that the cable sector is plagued by problems like burden of GST and Pole Tax.
Organizer and CNC Group Chief Sri Ramu warned that unless the cable sector hurries up knowing that change is inevitable, there will be problems in the future. He said that the exhibition was set up with a lot of effort to introduce such cutting-edge technologies.
Minister Shri Srinivas Gowda, in his inaugural address has said that he is well aware of the services rendered by the cable sector during the Telangana movement and that they are unforgettable. He also recollected his affiliation with the cable sector. He called up on the cable operators to adopt the new technology and assured that he would bring the issue of pole tax to the notice of IT Minister Sri KTR and the Chief Minister Sri KCR and work towards resolving it.
Rich tributes to Hathway Rajasekhar
The cable industry has paid rich tributes to Mr. Rajasekhar, fondly called as Hathway Rajasekhar, at the CableNet Expovision on the eve of his first death anniversary. As former CEO of Hathway, he has made his mark in the field of cable TV. Many of the stalwarts from the Cable industry have lauded his services to the cable sector and offered prayers today. Those who spoke on the occasion recalled the services of Rajasekhar, who always stood for the MSOs and LCOs and fought against the broadcasters. Earlier they garlanded he photo of Mr. Rajasekhar at the 9th CableNet Expovision venue.
Huge response: Ramu
Mr. Ramu, Chief of CNC Group and the Organizer of the 9th CableNet Expovision has expressed his happiness over the success of the expo. Mentioning that the expo is delayed by a year, he expressed his special thanks to the MSOs who encouraged and guided him in every way. He also thanked the large number of cable operators, MSOs, and technicians. He also thanked the people who set up stalls at the venue. With more than 30,000 visitors flocking to the expo, it is considered a huge success. Mr. Ramu has also thanked the media for promoting the expo. “The response has enhanced my enthusiasm to organize this type of shows”, said Mr. Ramu. He also said that the response is a boost to run the expo with double the enthusiasm in the future.
