3-Day CableNet Expo-2021 from 27th Aug. at Hitex, Hyderabad

The most prestigious and sought-after Cable Industry’s exhibition 9th Cable Net Expovision -2021 is here again after taking a break during the pandemic. Organized by the CNC group for the 9th consecutive term, the 3-day expo is slated for 27th, 28th and 29th August at the Hitex Exhibition Center. Though the CNC group has planned to move to Bengaluru for a change last year, it had to be cancelled during the last hour due to the restrictions imposed due to Corona. Now it is back in Hyderabad this month with a bang.
The earlier response to this expo has been very huge wherein many technological companies have come from far flung areas to showcase their technology, machinery and software. Since there is a slowdown in sales due to the pandemic, more and more companies would like to use this opportunity. At the same time, the cable industry is also eagerly awaiting an opportunity to attend, see, understand and acquire the latest hardware and software.
Though there were a few virtual exhibitions during the pandemic, the physical presence that also provides an easy interaction in the regional language is going to benefit the large number of cable industry fraternity.
Considering the fact that there were about 175 exhibitors during the earlier expo, a minimum of 100 exhibitors are expected during this pandemic season. The exhibitors include , Manufacturers, Distributers, Retailers, Play out software’s, Hardware, Software, Middleware, EPG, CAS, SMS, Cable Billing machines, Splicing machines, Fiber, Co-Axial, Digital Head Ends, IPTV, Value added Services, HITS, Satellite Channels, Telco’s, VOD,IOT,ICT and many more.
The exhibition has also the track record of attracting more than 15,000 footfalls. The visitors include Cable TV operators, Internet service providers, Multi System Operators apart from those interested in the latest developments in the cable industry. Huge crowd of MSOs, LCOs and Broad Band service providers mainly from Telangana, AP and also from other South Indian states are expected.
The 9th CableNet Expovision-2021 will also focus on Internet of Things (IoT) and a series of seminars are also conducted at the venue, aiming at discussing the latest developments in the technology and the industry. The topics to be covered include latest trends in the industry, future of the industry, awareness on Govt. policies, New Tariff Orders and skill development sessions
Mr. Ramu, Chief of CNC group that has been organizing this cable expo for the 9th time says the pandemic has halted the last year’s proposed expo at Bengaluru but this year it is going to be a hit with a huge response from the industry. “We are taking all the precautionary measures and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of Corona. Stalls have been earmarked and the response from the participants is very much encouraging” said Mr. Ramu.
The brochure for the Expo has been launched by Mr. Srinivas Goud, Minister for Prohibition & Excise, Sports and Youth Services, Tourism, culture and Archaeology. The Expo attains importance in view of the technological advances during these two years are to be made known to the industry. It is a crucial phase for the cable industry which is continuously upgrading its infrastructure and looking for an opportunity in the broadband sector. While NTO 2.0 is all set for implementation, the cable industry is into a serious discussion on enhancing ARPU in the new environment and to win over in the competition from the DTH.
