Fiber grid for all municipalities in Telangana

The BBNL project, spearheaded by the central government with the aim to provide internet to every household, is being expedited by various states. Andhra Pradesh has laid overhead cables while Telangana has chosen to lay underground cables to make them stronger, by aligning with Mission Bhageeratha. It has successfully laid cables adjacent to the same pipes of Mission Bhageeratha and avoided double digging.
Meanwhile, the KTR reviewed on the fiber grid project today and ordered the officials to further expand the fiber grid. He said that providing internet to every household was the goal of fiber grid and suggested that a survey be conducted in Hyderabad as well. IT Minister KTR directed the authorities to take the ambitious fiber grid project in Telangana to all municipalities. It was clarified that the scope of the fiber grid project should be further expanded.
Considering internet facility as an essential element, it was suggested that there should be plans to provide broadband facility to every household in Telangana towns. KTR revealed that they are working with the long-term goal of giving internet to every household in the state in the future. He also suggested to conduct a survey and report in Hyderabad.
Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Board meeting was held today at T-Hub. The meeting was attended by Minister KTR and several dignitaries. Officials told the minister that fiber connectivity would also be extended to rural areas by August this year.
