Star maa reached No.2 position at the national level. Earlier Sun TV has even gone to No.1 position but for the first time a Telugu channel reached second position. As per the latest viewership data released by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), Star Maa came no.2 pushing Sun to 3rd place for the week 31st July-6th August, 2021. While Star plus is in the top rank, Star Maa and Sun TV have garnered the 2nd and 3rd ranks.
For a few months, Star Maa has been continuously keeping up its 3rd position while Sun TV is in the second rank. Now Star Maa has come up. Moreover, Star group channels could garner 3 ranks in the top 5 channels at the All India level. Star Plus (1st rank). Star Maa (2nd rank) and Star Utsav (5th rank) is yet another achievement for the Star group.
Zee Group, Sony group and Viacom 18 Group failed to find place among the top 5 channels. However, Zee Telugu (8th rank) and Zee Anmol (10th rank) allowed Zee group to get two ranks in the top10 list. Zee Telugu is leading the Zee group channels in the ratings.
Among the Telugu channels, Star Maa (2540) got the first rank while Zee Telugu (15558) is adistant second with aroud 60% of Star Maa viewership. While ETV Telugu (1271) is ranked 3, Gemini TV (877) has to confine to its 4th rank. The share of Gemini is a mere 35% of Star Maa while ETV is just half of the viewership of Star Maa.
