Suryanarayana elected as AP MSOs’ Chief

Mr. K. Suryanarayana, popularly known as Kadapa Suri and is widely known among the cable industry has been elected as the President of Andhra Pradesh Multi System Operators’ (MSOs) Federation in a meeting held at Vijayawada recently. He will be in the post for a period of two years.
Even before the private satellite channels have come into existence, Mr. Suryanarayana has launched a cable channel through S band to reach households with quality Doordarshan programs. Later when the Telugu satellite channels have emerged, he has immediately moved to Kadapa, the district headquarters and became an MSO in 1995. He has expanded his network by aggregating various LCOs into his fold. He kept himself updated to the latest technologies and has successfully launched his digital headend as part of the digitization.
He was also active in leading the MSOs association during the period of united Andhra Pradesh. He shouldered the responsibilities of the organization in different terms as its General Secretary and Vice President. He is also known in the journalists’ circle in Kadapa district and he has been the President of Kadapa Press Club for about a decade.
‘I’ll solve the issues of the cable industry’
On the eve of his getting elected as the President of AP MSOs Federation, Mr. Suryanarayana said that he will concentrate on solving the problems of the cable industry. He has reminded that the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has already instituted a 3-Member committee including Sri Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Sri Kodali Nani and Sri Perni Nani to look into the problems of the industry. He has assured that he will impress upon the committee members on the problems being faced by the Cable TV industry.
While congratulating Mr Gowtha Reddy on his appointment as Chairman of APSFL, Mr. Suryanarayana has expressed his confidence that he will be positively solving the problems of the cable operators under APSFL. He is also hopeful that the LCOs will get internet business from APSFL. Mr. Suryanarayana said that abolition of Pole Tax is his priority.
