The Broadcasting Audience Research Council (BARC) continues to keep aside the viewership data of the news channels. Earlier when there were serious allegations on the veracity of the ratings, BARC has asked its technical committee to look into the matter and stayed the release of the data. Despite the earlier information was that the ratings will resume after 8-12 weeks, the situation is likely to continue further.
As for the Telugu General Entertainment Channels (GECs) are concerned, Star Maa continues its 4th place at the national level while continuing its numero uno among Telugu GECs. Zee Telugu is ranked 2 while ETV Telugu and Gemini confined to their 3rd and 4th positions.
With respect to programs, Zee Telugu had to confine itself to only one rank in the list of top 5 programs. Star Maa programs bagged the top 4 programs among the 5. While Karteeka Deepam, Gruhalakshmi, Devatha and Guppedantha Manasu are in first 4 places (all Star Maa serials), Trinayani (Zee Telugu) could get 5th places.
