Gowtham Reddy appointed as APSFL Chairman

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed Mr. P. Gowtham Reddy as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Corporation Limited on 12th January. As part of Digital India Program, the government has incorporated this company with a view to provide internet facility to each and every household in the state. APSFL has designed plans to provide triple play services (Internet, Telephone and IPTV) and is on the path of achieving its target. It has also started offering digital education to schools and internet to all the Govt offices, hospitals, police stations and other organizations.
APSFL has entered into cable television distribution as an IPTV service provider. There are around 9 lakh connections and hundreds of LCOs under this network. While uncertainty prevailed, the LCOs are under pressure on the continuity of the organization. Since Mr. Gowtham Reddy is a trade union leader and well versed with the state of affairs of LCOs from his association with Siti cable Operators two decades ago, the APSFL operators are also expecting his positive decisions to save them from uncertainty.
Mr. Reddy will take charge as the Chairman of APSFL at 11 am on 18th (Monday) at a function organized at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada. After a brief swearing in ceremony, there will be felicitation program. Dy Chief Minister Mr. Amzad Basha and other ministers Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Mr. Mekapati Gowtham Reddy. Mr. Perni Nani, Mr. Kodali Nani. Mr. Vellampalli Srinivas will grace the occasion. MLAs Mr. Ambati Rambabu, Mr. Malladi ViShnu. Mr. Samineni Udaya Bhanu, Mr. Jogi Ramesh, Mr. Meka Venkata Pratap Apparao will also participate.
