Star Maa has changed its logo. The conspicuous change being the use of Telugu word Maa. This is part of the rebranding of the Star group channels. Recently TV9 has also rechristened its brand names by adding the name of the language.
Maa TV was launched with a logo showing MAA in a design where M is depicted as a combination of A and A, drawing the name Maa from Goddess Durgamaatha. Later when the channel went into the hands of Nimmagadda Prasad, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, they have changed the design and took up a huge campaign to popularize the new design.
When Star took over, the name has been changed accordingly to include star in its name and thus became Star Maa. Now the management has decided to write the word Maa in Telugu and redesigned it. The new brand was launhced coinciding with the launch of BiggBoss season 4.
