People around the world would have an opportunity to understand the importance and necessity of the Kaleshwaram Project, being executed by the State Government to irrigate about 18.5 lakh acres land, by watching an hour long documentary on Discovery channel on 25th of this month. The documentary titled “Lifting a River” will be telecast at 8pm on Discovery.
The mega project, was taken up by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Private Limited (MEIL) in 2017. All the work done during the course of the construction of the project, major hurdles faced and experiences encountered will be chronicled in this documentary. This will be telecast in English, Hindi, Telugu and 3 other Indian languages.
Earlier, the Government of Telangana has given the responsibility of developing a professional visual documentary and animation on the project to Imazzle Advertising Pvt Ltd, at a cost of Rs.14.41 lakh. The documentary would also be utilised for the purpose of explaining and convincing the financial agencies.
However, the present documentary to be telecast on 25th is produced exclusively by Discovery.
